The Graduate
On Tuesday, February 24th, Jonathan graduated
from the Paul Mitchell Hair Academy. We are all very proud of you. Jon, you pointed out that when you started there, Mom had breast cancer; a lot has happened since then. You have grown up a lot, and overcome many things that most people won't ever have to deal with in their life. This graduation is a kind of a closure of sorts, but more of a testament to all you have accomplished. You helped me out a lot when Lila was born, and I was overwhelmed to see you so happy and meet your goal, and know how much it means to you. You are on the right road, and there are many good times ahead for you.Baby Jack
A couple weeks ago, we made the trip to Houston to meet Baby Jack. He belongs to my best friend Ashley and her husband Grant. Ashley and Grant have hoped, prayed, tried for, and waited for Jack a long time. We had a great time...Shawn and Grant did some fishing (or so they say), and Ashley,Lila, Jack, and I went on a nice long walk, and lounged around the house. It was so nice to see the miracle for myself. I have known Ashley for a long time. We have been through teenage years, college, weddings, and a few tough times together, and it was really like a dream come true to be able to be together with our children.

Dog in a Purse

Lila got this little guy in her stocking at Christmas. His name is Murphy. She loves to carry him around the house, and everywhere else. We don't leave home without him. She is so little, and she walks around with this dog in a purse, and it is so cute. The other day I was sitting in the chair in her room, and she turned around and waved at me, and I was able to catch it on camera...Just thought I would share.
Lila's Birthday
On January 7th, our little girl turned one year old. Where does the time go? Lila is such a little blessing...everything we ever dreamed about and more.
We celebrated with a "dog" party on January 10th. The Cash family, the Eatons, the Noskas, Nicole and Lucas, Gran and Toby, Nana and Pops, Ginger and Ronnie, and Natalie and Jon all came. All the kiddos had cute doggy headbands that turned out really cute. Lila was a little overwhelmed at first, but warmed up once she got a little taste of cake. We thank everyone for taking the time to celebrate with us, and for being a part of our baby girl's life. We got numerous cards and emails, and gifts, and appreciate everyone remembering her special day. This past year has been such and adventure and I am glad that you all were there to share it with.
