Summer Fun

Sorry it has been so long, but I have been busy having all kinds of fun. I love the summertime. I stay outside almost every day until dark. Sometimes we even eat outside, and I think that is a neat treat. We have not been many places this summer, but we have enjoyed our time at home, and playing at the neighborhood pool. Here is what I have been up to...

playing in my sand box

just hanging out on the porch with my dog

We went to Dallas to visit Barry, Cheryl and Morgan. It was so hot.
Here we are cooling off in Morgan's pool

Happy Father's Day!
We spent Father's Day weekend in Dallas. Daddy had a great time playing golf
with Barry, and then cooling off with the help of Barry's Keg-o-rator.

Here I am in my new pool. This is my new look...it says "I am
very excited, but am too cool to show it"

Last but not least...eating watermelon!

Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day Weekend started with a graduation bright and early on Friday morning. Natalie graduated with a BBA from UT. We are very proud of her, and are very thankful that she is fortunate enough to already have a job.

On Saturday afternoon, we headed to Fort Worth for Alex's 11th Birthday Party. His party was at a super-duper inflatable wonderland, and it was a lot of fun and pretty exhausting. I can't believe Alex is already 11. It is hard to believe that the little boy with the thick Texas accent and rambling stories is growing up. Alex is a bright, polite young man and we are very proud of him.

On Sunday, Shawn, Jai, Abbi and Alex went to play golf, and then we cooked out. The kids had such a good time on the trampoline. Lila became a jumping maniac this past weekend; first, at the inflatable jumping place, and then the trampoline.

On Monday we went to the zoo. We really enjoyed it. It is a really nice zoo...It is a great size, and is really shaded. I thought the giraffes were really pretty.

Lila loved the birds

Baby Jack

A few weeks ago Baby Jack and his parents came for a visit. We don't get to see them very often, and I miss them, but when we are together we always have a blast. Baby Jack is almost as big as Lila, and he is one handsome dude! We met up with the Noskas on Saturday night for dinner at Hill's Cafe, and an impromptu baby shower (Baby Ainsley will be making her debut in September, and I can't wait)

Easter

My Easter was a lot of fun. I got to do a whole bunch of fun stuff. On Thursday, we had an Easter party and Easter egg hunt at my school, and my Mommy got to be there.

The eggs broke open, and there were goldfish and cheerios inside...pretty neat!

On Friday, I went over to Kamdyn's house for another Easter egg hunt, and they had Cascarones, and treat filled eggs.

On Saturday, my Mom and I dyed Easter eggs, and let me tell you something, I LOVED IT! I liked to dip my spoon in the dye to check the eggs, and my Mom let me drop the eggs into the dye bath all by myself.

I was pretty proud of my beautiful eggs.

On Sunday morning when I woke up, I found out that the Easter bunny had hopped in overnight and filled my basket with some treats. Next year, I think the Easter Bunny needs to bring me a bigger basket. I got some sidewalk chalk, some markers, a Mr. Potato head, some books, a spinning top, a stuffed rabbit, some necklaces and bracelets, a pinwheel, and some sand toys.

Do you think these necklaces go with my beautiful Easter dress?

After Church, we went with Gran and Toby and crew to Pappasito's. I tried some queso on my chip, and it was pretty good stuff.

After we were done eating, we went home, and spent the rest of the day watching The Masters. It was a great Easter.

Big Girl

I took Lila for her 1 year old check-up last week. She is weighing in at a big 18 1/2 lbs these days, and is 29 inches tall (or short). For those of you keeping track of the numbers, that puts her in the 5th percentile for her age. It is amazing how she packs so much energy in that little body. Lila had to get some lab work done while we were there, and she was a champ. This picture was taken outside the doctor's office. She was very proud of her bandaged finger, and her two stickers!

Big Pigs

Do you see what I see? You have to look very close. That's right...PIG TAILS!
The girls that take care of her at daycare decided to give her pigtails. I can't believe she sat still to let them do this, and I really can't believe she left them in all day. They were very very cute.
